1)      Plan ahead. It may take a while to think of a campaign you would like to send to your customers, patients or guests.  Brainstorm ideas and gain feedback well before your send date to prevent a lot of future headaches.

2)     Take advantage of holidays. Look at the calendar and use national holidays, change in seasons, or industry specific promotional months such as customer appreciation month, national safety week, etc. to plan out your campaign schedule.

3)      Be creative. Not every campaign needs to be an offer or special for your customer base.  Use newsletters to send out monthly tips or valuable information to your customers, patients or guests.   For example:  Is there a way to save money at the gas pump?  Why is it important for patients to check their eyes on a regular basis?  Why is flossing on a regular basis important for the health of your teeth?  What are some ways to help relieve back stress at work?  What are some helpful tips on keeping your hair healthy?  Write informational newsletters to remind your customer base about these simple procedures.

4)      Be consistent. Our most successful Demandforce customers send campaigns once a month or once every other month.  Make sure you set that expectation with your customer base and let them know you will be sending them a monthly email with valuable information and exclusive deals.

5)      Know your audience. As a business owner, you know your audience best, so choose promotions and campaigns that you know will be valuable to them.  Always consider: What is something that your customers, patients and guests will appreciate getting from your business?

Utilizing these simple tips you will see a difference under your “Result” tab, where we track every dollar generated from your email campaigns.  The most important thing to remember is to keep collecting those emails.  Without collecting emails, you won’t be able to connect with your customers, patients or guests.
