October 4, 2011

The Early Adopter Gets The Worm

Amnassador Logo 300x287 Are you Ambassador Material?Just recently Demandforce began an Ambassador program for our elite Demandforce D3 users who are excited and knowledgeable about our product. This is a great opportunity for early access to new features and inside information. Plus you get a gift when you sign up, so what’s not to love?

But that’s not all – below are just some of the reasons why being an Ambassador is a GREAT thing:

  1. Get early access to new beta features before they hit the market. Currently we are taking people to the Campaign Re-Write waitlist, and there are several more coming in 2012.
  2. Be heard – participate in usability studies, product experience surveys, and more.
  3. Get invited to special non-publicized Demandforce events.
  4. Get additional newsletter and campaign content for you to send out to generate additional traffic through your doors.
  5. Get Ambassador Certified so you can show that you’re a true Demandforce Super User. Post it on your LinkedIn and Facebook pages to show that you know your stuff.
  6. And of course, Ambassadors regularly receive some great swag that ONLY Ambassadors receive.

So what do you have to do to get all this great stuff? It’s pretty easy and not too far off from what you are probably already doing: (more…)

Major Changes to Facebook and What You Need to Know

September 30, 2011

Update: Facebook has decided to implement a slow roll out with the new changes I outline below.  As quoted by Stefan Parker, Facebook UI Engineer, on Quora, “We are aiming to start letting users opt into Timeline in the next two to four weeks. There is no set date though.”

Facebook is at it again. On September 22, Mark Zuckerberg revealed at the F8 conference the new updates to Facebook and its users’ personal profiles. But will these changes affect your business? You bet.

There are quite a few changes that I will try to sum up as best I can, while also keeping these relevant not only to your personal profile, but how these may affect your business. Let’s just take a look at the changes first… (more…)

Facebook’s Updated Settings

On August 23rd, Facebook made significant changes to users’ privacy settings and users’ ability to share content.

Facebook users can now alter their privacy settings right on their profile, instead of having to jump through numerous hoops in the old “Privacy Settings” page.  Users can easily control who sees their profiles, status updates, and tagged photos on the right-hand side of their profile.

Making Google+ Work For Your Business

September 13, 2011

Google+ and You
As Salesforce CEO, Marc Benioff, proclaimed in his Dreamforce 2011 keynote, “We are in a social revolution.” Now more than ever there are tons of ways for businesses to interact and connect with their customers, creating a community that grows their company from a business to a Brand (a concept your friends at Demandforce understand and are here to help you with via Facebook Connect, newsletter builder and other communication options).

Making Google+ Work For Your BusinessSo who’s new to this party? A search engine giant, of course, recently coming onto the scene with the introduction of Google+.

Use Google+ to grow your business NOW

At the moment, Google+ is for individuals only and not allowing the creation of business profiles – Mashable.com, Ford, Sesame Street and others managed to get invited and immediately opened a brand page. Mashable.com, the technology site, had 103,000 followers by the time Google+ put a stop to businesses on their platform and removed all those pages. Which is a shame, as Google+ seems ideal for businesses and business owners. (more…)

These days it may seem like the opportunities for social media interaction are endless. Even for someone who is well versed in different social media outlets, trying to manage social media for a business can seem overwhelming.

Demandforce customers know all about the importance of reaching customers online. According to a recent Pew Internet and American Life Survey, 77% of Americans are online.  A common mistake of many businesses is that they spread themselves too thin across their social media. It is important not only to focus on your spread, but also how deep you can delve into each media outlet. Having 200 friends on Facebook, and 300 followers on Twitter doesn’t make much of a difference to your business unless you’re interacting with these individuals in a meaningful way.trans How to Maximize your Social Media: Connecting Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube

Setting up the applications on Facebook for Demandforce is a great way to tie social media into your existing marketing campaigns. However, the possibilities are endless, and there are a variety of different options that can complement your existing Demandforce communications.

For small and medium businesses, joining the deal game may not turn out to be an ideal experience. Group buying sites, while effective in drawing crowds, can cut net revenue for the business. As well, deal-hungry customers frequently fail to convert into repeat customers and raving fans.

With Demandforce D3, putting on the “big deal” for new and potential customers is easy to do and extremely cost effective. Every communication sent through D3 includes a referral link that customers can click to provide their family and friends’ email addresses. Adding an incentive to the emails that referrals receive is a way to attract new customers with appealing promotions. You’ll also be able to track who within your customer base are your best referrers and reward them accordingly. (more…)

Why Web Feed is important for your Business?

May 25, 2011

One of the hidden gems in using Demandforce for your business is Webfeed. Try searching for any website that offers advice on how you can improve your local search ranking factors and there is one thing that always gets mentioned: Consistent data throughout the web. There are three major local search engines. Google Maps, Yahoo Local and Bing. These three feed data to many other sites. If there is inconsistent data in any of these sites the incorrect data may spread throughout the web and it can seriously affect your ranking.

Nap(Name, Address, and Phone number, as in, your actual business phone#) are essential. Don’t use tracking phone numbers or sneak keywords into your business name. Webfeed gets all of your data from the business information section in your portal. (more…)
